People Make Glasgow, but you can make Hack Glasgow a success

Sponsoring a community event is more than just slinging us a few quid – it’s helping us give speakers an opportunity to showcase their research to peers (some presenting for the first time), exclusive access to the conference and attendees for brand recognition, and, ultimately, contributing to what is currently the only community-led information security conference in Scotland.

Your support through sponsorship can literally change someone’s life for good.

DATE Saturday 25th April 2026

LOCATION Platform Glasgow, G2 8DL

The event

Scheduled for Saturday 25th April 2026, Hack Glasgow will be a single day event boasting minimum two parallel speaking tracks, villages, a central and generously-sized sponsor area, and exclusive afterparty for attendees, speakers, crew, and sponsors.

Our sold out 2025 event had 246 attendees, with an 80+% turnout rate for 300 tickets. Our 2026 event will see more General Admission tickets available, with a total capacity of 400 attendees.

Food (both lunch and dinner) will be available for all who attend, with tea and coffee provided throughout the day. After the resounding success of Hack Glasgow 2025, we expect a high number of speaker applicants, as well as a high number of attendees.

The venue

Platform is located within the historic arches of Glasgow Central train station, which opened in August 1879 and was later expanded between 1899 and 1906 under the direction of architect James Miller and engineer Donald A. Matheson. This expansion included the creation of the twelve iconic arches, initially part of the station’s infrastructure, which have been revitalised to form Platform. Today, Platform is a versatile event space that balances heritage with modern functionality.

We wanted a venue that combines function, form, style, and convenience. Located in the heart of the city, just metres from Glasgow Central train station, boasting 7 arches, and with multiple hotel options within walking distance, Platform is the ideal venue for Hack Glasgow.

Due to the venue being an events space, our afterparty can be onsite, reducing dilution between conference and evening event, and allowing sponsors and speakers further time to mingle with the full audience.

The organisers

Having helped organise and volunteered at a multitude of events all over the UK (including Glasgow's informal Hack Thursday meetup), the organising team are well experienced in running infosec conferences.

Logistics, accommodation, accessibility, and more (oh my)

Sponsors and community vendors with an exhibition space can benefit from loading in to the venue using the Midland Street entrance. The venue has previously accommodated large stands and unusual items (such as cars).

Short term parking is available for exhibitors, speakers, volunteers, and attendees “kerb side” with many multi-story car parking options within a 10 minute walk of the venue for longer term parking. Due to the venue’s location, public transport links are abound, with Platform being situated a 10 second walk from one of Glasgow Central’s main entrances.

A plethora of hotels with reasonable overnight rates occupy the surrounding area directly next to the venue, with cheaper accommodation available slightly further afield.

The venue is fully accessible with ramps, a single floor layout with no stairs, and wide entry doors to accommodate equipment and accessible entry.
